Pressotherapy is performed using an electrical device that facilitates veno-lymphatic return. This is done using boots, sleeves or an abdominal belt. They exert a mechanical compression of tissues, by swelling followed by decompression, at an adjustable rate and pressure.
The compression phase moves liquids (blood, lymph) to be resorbed into the collecting ducts before accompanying them into the evacuation networks.
